PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Mauro Icardi won’t be part of the squad traveling to RB Leipzig for tonight UEFA Champions League group match.

The Paris club has three points from two games after losing their first game 2-1 at home before Turkish champions, İstanbul Başakşehir F.K 2-0 away from home, courtesy of Moise Kean’s double.

During a press conference on Tuesday, the German tactician announced that the former Inter Milan captain wouldn’t resume action until after the international break.

Alexandre Letellier is already out of the trip to Germany after testing positive for COVID-19. While Kylian Mbappe’s hamstring will be re-examined, Tuchel will have the likes of Pablo Sarabia, Moise Kean, and Angel Di Maria available for tonight’s action.

The hamstring discomfort suffered by Mbappé could rule him out Ligue 1 clash against Rennes on Saturday. But the PSG medical team will reassess him on Thursday to know the latest.

Neymar, who was substituted after 26 minutes of action against Basaksehir, is also out with a groin injury. This automatically ruled the Brazilian superstar from the international break for the Selecao for the games against Venezuela and Uruguay on November 14 and 18.

Meanwhile, Leandro Paredes, who got injured against Nîmes, has resumed training and is available for selection. He is among the squad members that traveled with PSG to Leipzig.

PSG will also be without Marco Verratti, who is back in training but won’t be available against Rennes and Italy during the International break. Therefore, the holding midfielder will meet the Azzurri meetings against Estonia, Poland, and Bosnia, which takes place between November 11 and 18.

This is the same with German playmaker Julian Draxler. He has been out of action with an Achilles tendon injury. He is expected to resume action after the international break. This means he is out of the Nations League clash against the Czech Republic (November 11), Ukraine (November 14), and Spain (November 17)
