Barcelona defender Sergino Dest has returned to the team’s squad ahead of Wednesday’s Copa Del Rey clash with Granada.

The American defender last played in Barcelona’s extra-time loss to Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup, although he did return to the squad to be on the bench in Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Elche in the La Liga.

Dest has since then missed Barcelona’s wins against Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Bilbao on Sunday in the La Liga after suffering two-weeks out due to a muscle injury.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s French defender Jean-Clair Todibo will complete the season at Ligue 1 side Nice on loan.

Todibo moved to Barcelona in January 2019 from Toulouse but, he has just four La Liga matches under his belt. He played in the Bundesliga for the rest of last season on loan at the Schalke 04.

The German club had the opportunity to sign the French U21 star with a release clause in the loan deal, but they opted against it.

Todibo also played in Portugal after joining Benfica in October for the 2020-21 season, but the Portuguese giant terminated the deal.

Barcelona will play against Granada on Wednesday in the Copa Del Rey after getting past Athletic Club 2-1 on Sunday in the La Liga, where Messi scored his 650th Barcelona’s goal.

Ronald Koeman’s got PAST Rayo Vallecano in the last round of the Copa Del Rey while Granada thrashed Navalcarnero 6-0.

Meanwhile, Almeria will host Sevilla on Tuesday in the Quarter-finals of the Copa Del Rey. Almeria defeated Osasuna 1-0 after extra-time in the last round, while Sevilla beat Valencia 3-0.

Furthermore, in the La Liga on Monday, Real Betis beat Osasuna 1-0 with a 79th-minute goal from Borja Iglesias.

The win puts Betis in 7th with 30 points, nine points away from the UEFA Champions League spots.
