Ighalo Ready For £6m Pay Cut To Make Man United Love Move Permanent

Former Nigeria and Watford striker, Odion Ighalo has revealed he will be more than ready to get a reduction in salary and earnings in order to make his dream to the Red Devils a permanent deal.

The Nigerian joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua on a loan deal in the January transfer window for the rest of the 2019-20 English Premier League season.

Ighalo earns a whooping £240,000-a-week at Shanghai Shenhua, but the striker has stated he will be happy to stay back at the Old Trafford even with his pay expected to be reduced by £6 million, about 50% cut from his salary, should his wish come through.

The ex-Watford man still has a running contract with Shanghai Shenhua until January 2021 albeit the Red Devils can sign him permanently from this summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Ighalo has been impressive for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘s team since his move scoring four goals in his last three matches played, and the Norwegian manager is ready to retain the 2019 African Cup Of Nations highest goal scorer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown interest in the striker and is ready to secure him for the 2020-2021 season.

“He will improve and get better, but he has qualities we saw in him, and we needed, and we will still need those qualities for next season, so let’s see what we will do.” Solskjaer was quoted in the DailyMail

His last goal for the team was at LASK Linz in Austria in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 first leg with Manchester United winning 5-0 on the night.

However, the UEFA Europa has been suspended and could possibly not be completed this season depending on the outcome of meetings between UEFA representatives due to the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic.
