Dean Henderson extends loan deal at Sheffield United

English Premier League side Sheffield United have successfully retained the services of Manchester United young goalkeeper Dean Henderson on loan till the end of the current season.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper was influential as the team rose from the championship last season into the English Premier League this season, where they have been impressive in their games.

The blades are sitting in the eighth position after 31 rounds of matches played in the Premier League, and they are also in the race to finish in the Europa League places.

Apart from Dean Harbison, the blades have also retained the services, till the end of the season, of defenders Phil Jagielka and Kieron Freeman as well as midfielder Jack Rodwell and striker Leon Clarke.

However, midfielder Mo Besic and defender Panos Retsos have gone back to Everton and Bayer Leverkusen, respectively, after their loan deals at the Bramall lane.

Over at Manchester United, midfielder Angel Gomes could leave the club due to the fact that a deal for contract extension hasn’t been agreed between the club and the nineteen-year-old despite the optimism raised by manager Ole Gunnar Solskajer earlier.

Also, Manchester United winger Alexis Alexis Sanchez who is on loan at Inter Milan may extend his loan deal at the San Siro club, Roma may also keep Chris Smalling for the rest of the season.

Manchester United will face Chelsea in the semifinals of the English FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium while Arsenal would be trading tackles with Manchester City in the 2nd semifinals.

In the quarter-finals, Manchester United needed extra time to beat Norwich City by 2-1 as Ighalo, and Harry Maguire scored the winner.

Sheffield United also lost to Arsenal by 2-1, Manchester City Beat Newcastle became close to new Chelsea got the better of Leicester City.
